Chug-a-lug, Industrial grey.

Today I watched the sunrise and soaked in its golden rays, chug-a-lug-a-chug on rails across the fields and the frost. Billowing grey atop smokestacks, the morning in industrial town was set in the calmness of the cold and sombreness of wrecked metal waste.

Churning out 445 report at this hour. The house is very very quiet…and daybreaks…I’m dreaming of pancakes. This strange thing…and I don’t know if this is supposed to be normal, but I haven’t felt like I’m in a different place since I came. Whatever I’m doing now, I feel like it’s just ‘been like that’ [...]

There were many more pretty photos but I kinda gave up uploading…zzz.. Boston, MA — pretty city with a spectacular harbor, perfect skyscape and quaint old city charm.. Portsmouth, New [...]

Come back and make up a good-bye at least. Let’s pretend we had one. -from “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”

I wonder if it was better if all relationships were predefined social contracts. This way we wouldn’t have to deal with the whole gamut of emotions…or even if we did, we’d probably be able to point the finger at some unfortunate extrinsic cause and dissociate ourselves from any responsibility or guilt of letting ourselves go [...]

Not quite. But mind is a whirl and blank right now. I don’t quite know what to write. – It’s like standing on the edge of a cliff, putting a leg out, thinking you’ll make the plunge…but hmm, maybe not? – It’s like second-guessing someone’s thoughts and maybe your own…is it really what it seems?
Memories and flashbacks…

When you remember… It just seems harder to get on with life normally. But yet it is tempting to bring back moments from the past, the happy ones especially. Well, what can I do…

Trains go by. And we’re standing on the platform, not knowing where we were headed but just ended up being there because we wanted to get away from what’s above. You ask me where you should go. I don’t know what to say. “Well, where do you want to go?” Till now, I don’t know [...]

Trip to Istana
Posted in Reverie, Visual on May 1, 2008 | Leave a Comment »
Went to the Istana for my first time with Mum and Dad today. Felt a little embarrassed for not having visited the place despite my 22 years here. (And I’m sure Mum felt the same too.) But very glad that I did. Was quite impressed with what I saw, and to some extent, it was [...]

French Toast

I saw a plate of french toast Mum made this morning and was instantly reminded of the french toast Bena’s made for breakfast back in RJ. I don’t quite remember why she made it one morning for me but it must have been something like…I was eating some lousy french toast from the canteen a [...]
