Finally made the coveted visit to The Wine Company at Evans Lodge. It indeed is a place more for wine than for food. The food was good and very reasonably priced, however, so I shall spare them with regards to the lack of variety.
Wine was a South African Red blend of Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Shiraz, Merlot and Nebiolo. Pretty good stuff. Very rich, very deep, sensual-just the way I like it. Didn’t take more than a glass to get Mum knocked out…I had 3 glasses though, brought back the remainder of the bottle to sip and slurp happily to sleep…
knocked out? did you have to drag your mum home from the place?
